Doggie's Pub is a pizza restaurant in State College, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 108 S Pugh St, State College, PA 16801, which places it among the local businesses of State College that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under live music bar, bar, pub, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 4 pm–12 am. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 461 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

State College is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around State College is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Paid 150$ in line skip to get into doggies after the game spent $300+ on drinks and then some random security guy accuses me of throwing a drink on the ground while I’m walking inside to use the bathroom (was not even holding a drink this whole time btw). I get that there are unruly people that need to be kicked out. I have never been that guy and never will. The bartenders at doggies are national treasures and must be protected. However some of the newbie security guys have serious issues. If you are going to accuse someone of throwing a drink on the ground at least get the right person. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Everyone else is quite reasonable and respectful. I have spent a ton of money at doggies regularly a $500+ tab and tip well. I would hope that a place like this would show just a tiny bit of respect to customers who have only been respectful and kind. Anyways no beef with doggies in general except for that delusional security guy I would be happy to donate prescription glasses to him he clearly could use them. 😁

We got kicked out for no clear reason, and we’re still not sure why. There seemed to be some concern about fake IDs, but the police came, checked all of our IDs, and confirmed that everything was valid. After that, we left. The whole situation was frustrating and felt unnecessary, and it seemed like assumptions were made about us before any facts were checked. We left feeling that bias may have played a role in how we were treated. Security guards all power tripped while we were being respectful. And tried force on a girl as well as young people whom are from state college which we definitely did not deserved.

Really enjoyed Doggie’s Pub. Great place to grab a pizza, watch a game, and settle in for β€œjust one drink” that somehow lasts the whole game. It gets busy, but that’s part of the fun β€” friendly crowd, relaxed college vibe, and plenty of energy without feeling over the top. Solid spot to hang out in State College.

My wife and I decided to spend a Friday afternoon in downtown State College. We started at Doggie’s. We liked the place as we walked in. Traditional college dive bar. We each had one drink and we split the pretzel sticks. All were good. It was a good experience and we will be back.

Our first time here and will try it again. We were out checking out the local pubs/bars in downtown State College and thought this place was pretty decent. We didn’t get the pizza, but it looked good. We each had a cocktail and soft pretzels for an appetizer. All were good and prices great.
